Patton, Jr. died under mysterious circumstances in the months following the end of World War II. For almost seventy years, there has been suspicion that his death was not an accident--and may very well have been an act of assassination. Killing Patton takes readers inside the final year of the war and recounts the events surrounding Patton's tragic demise, naming names of the many powerful individuals who wanted him silenced.Book Killing Patton: The Strange Death of World War II's Most Audacious General (Bill O'Reilly's Killing Series) Review :
This book would have been loved by the General and hated by his superiors because what Eisenhower- because of his political bias, missed the true genius of Patton. One does have to wonder about how Patton passed because the very folks Eisenhower warned against--the Military Complex-- did not want Patton returning to the US and giving his view of the European WW II. One has to wonder if there would have been a Cold War if Patton's view of the Soviets as the next enemies would have been followed. On the other side of the coin, Patton was a true warrior who walked the walk of many before him from Roman times on. How well would have Patton survived in a peaceful world. My uncle served under the General during the Battle of the Bulge and while he never spoke about D-Dy or the Battle itself, he had unwavering respect for the General. A most interesting tale. Hero of many wars, General George S. Patton III, died under mysterious circumstances at the end of WWII. The book engages the reader in the ending of the war, but also shines the spotlight on a true American, General Patton, whose love of country and concerns about communism, resulted in the likely scenario of his death being arranged by William Donovan, the creator of the OSS, forerunner of the CIA, and Donovan’s pals in the Kremlin. Patton hated the Soviets and knew that they would soon be our enemies. Donovan, one of the early #DeepState globalists, wanted to split the world with the Soviets and tried to prop them up. He and his ilk were smitten with the cruel dictator Stalin.Because Patton’s power and position, Donovan may not have been able to stomach Patton’s rivalry and opposition, so he may have assigned the “hit” to one of his top comrades, along with his Communist pals – meticulously chronicled by esteemed authors Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard. A MUST read. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
